Christi Loucks

About / Christi Loucks

My whole job was
making people
capable, fast.

I started out in Antarctica, of all places. Then about a decade in cybersecurity. Then I bought my own company. It was the same job every time: take something complicated and get people good at it fast. Now I do that for moms who want to own what they build.

01 / Where this came from

I'm Christi.

Most women's about pages open with “not to brag, but.” I hate that. I've done things worth bragging about and I'm going to tell you all of them, because I want you to go do your own version.

My first job was HR assistant for the U.S. Antarctic Program. [Yes, I lived on the ice. No, it does not come up as often as you'd think.]

Then I did the thing capable women are told to do, and I did it well. High growth tech companies, one after another. I ran training and enablement at all three.

I was very good at it. I was also making other people rich.

I have moxy and I like showing it. That has never once meant I wanted less time with my kids. Both things get to be true.

I left in November 2022. A year later I bought a company and ran it as CEO.

What changed

I shipped my first production code in January 2026. I learned it because I needed the thing to work and nobody else was going to build it.

03 / Why this exists

Ownership was a door
nobody stood in front of.

We spent 40 years pointing every smart woman at employment. You walked past the other door because it wasn't open yet. It's open now.

  1. 01 / The money

You can make real money at home.

Enough that you get to be with your kids while you do it. That's what most of us want, and the old setup made you pick one.

  2. 02 / The moment

This is a new wave of entrepreneurship for women.

Men have been building software around boardroom tables for decades. A woman can build the same thing from home, on her own schedule, with a laptop and no permission from anybody.

  3. 03 / The stakes

We need to command AI so it doesn't command us.

Our kids get handed this at school before anyone asks us what we think. You can't supervise a thing you're afraid of.

The honest part

Month one is small.
Sometimes it's nothing.

I'm telling you that now so you don't quit in March thinking you're the problem. You're learning a real skill, and real skills take real weeks.

Nothing I hand you is theory. I build it, run it in real work, break it, and fix it before it ever reaches you. Every step I hand you is one I've run myself, in this house, with these kids awake down the hall.

Start with the next useful thing

04 / Off the record

The parts that don't
fit on a resume.

Four camcorder-style frames of Christi Loucks
  1. 01

    First build

A snowball fight game in Visual Basic

High school. So there was technically precedent, but nobody was paying me for that one.

  2. 02

    Order of operations

I bought the company before I built anything

Three years running one first. The tools came after, because it needed them.

  3. 03

    The room

Two kids in under two years

The building part is the easy part now. The kids are the boss fight.
