AI agents / Grok

My AI team has 13 bots. These 3 rules keep it from turning into chaos.

Every bot gets one job. They pass work to each other, and they all read the same rulebook. Here’s how mine work and how to set up your own.

October 2026 / 3 rules and 7 steps

I wrote this in October 2026. Grok Bot changes fast, so if a button moved, look around a little.

First, what’s Grok Bot?

Ok, quick background. Grok Bot is an app from xAI (the Grok people). You download it at grokbot.com and build your bots inside it.

A bot is basically a teammate you can hand real work to. It signs in to your stuff, like Gmail or Slack, and does the work the way you would. Then it brings it back to you.

And they remember. Show a bot how you like something done once and it keeps doing it that way. They even learn from each other.

All 13 of mine live in there.

My 3 rules

1. Dr. Eggbot builds every bot. Dr. Eggbot is a bot that builds other bots. You tell it the job. It asks you a few questions about how you want things done. Then it builds the bot for you.

2. One bot, one job. When a bot only has one job, it gets really good at that job. It also stays in its lane, which is a big deal when you have 13 of them.

3. Everybody reads the same rulebook. Every bot gets the same file with my brand, my tone and the words I never say. That’s how they all sound like me.

Meet the team

Here’s who’s on it right now.

There are a few more, but they work on client stuff, so they stay private.

What a normal week looks like

  1. Monday: the Trend Researcher finds what’s working on Instagram and hands it to the Content Planner.
  2. The Content Planner turns it into posts for the week.
  3. The Revenue Lead picks the comment keywords and plans the ManyChat flows.
  4. The Brand Manager checks all of it before it gets to me.
  5. Then I make the content.

Set up your own

Here’s the short version:

  1. Start with Dr. Eggbot. Tell it the one job you want done.
  2. Give every bot one job. Just one.
  3. Write one rulebook with your brand, your tone and the words you never say. Give it to every bot.

Ok, now the long version.

Step 1. Get Grok Bot and Dr. Eggbot

I didn’t make Dr. Eggbot. Lauren Tan did, and she put it on the Grok Bot marketplace so anyone can use it.

  1. If you don’t have Grok Bot yet, download it at grokbot.com.
  2. Open Dr. Eggbot on the marketplace.
  3. Click Import Bot.
  4. Check what it can access, then click Add Bot.

Now you’ve got your own copy. You can’t break anyone else’s, so go ahead and play with it.

Step 2. Write your rulebook first

I know you want to skip this one. Please don’t. Every bot reads it before it does anything, and it’s the reason all my bots sound like me.

Copy it and fill in the blanks. Keep it somewhere easy to grab, because you’ll paste it into every bot.

MY RULEBOOK
Every bot reads this before it does anything.

ABOUT MY BUSINESS
What I sell:
Who I sell to:
What I want people to do next:

MY BRAND
My colors:
My fonts:
How my work should look:

MY TONE
I sound like:
I never sound like:
Something I wrote that sounds like me:

WORDS I NEVER SAY
-
-
-

ALWAYS ASK ME BEFORE YOU
- Send anything to a real person
- Post anything
- Spend money

Step 3. Tell Dr. Eggbot the job

Open Dr. Eggbot and tell it what you want the bot to do. It’ll ask you a few questions. Then it builds the bot.

It’s strict about one job per bot. It also writes a list of things the bot is never allowed to do, and it calls those anti-jobs. Here’s what I’d type:

I want a new bot.
Its one job is: [the job]
It does this: [every Monday / when I ask / when a new email comes in]
It sends what it makes to: [me / my other bot's name]
It should never: [what it's not allowed to do]

Here's my rulebook. Follow it every time:
[paste your rulebook]

When it asks about your tone, paste in a caption you wrote that sounds like you. Real examples work way better than describing yourself.

Step 4. Only connect what it needs

Your content bot doesn’t need your inbox. Only connect the apps that one job uses. Grok Bot works with Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive and Slack, and you can hook up more than one account.

Then set some ground rules. Go to Settings > General > Agent and type them in plain English. I’d start with these:

Never send an email, DM or Slack message without asking me first.
Never delete anything.
Never accept or change a meeting without asking me first.

Step 5. Put it on a schedule

Bots can run on a schedule. They can also kick off when something happens, like when a new Slack message comes in. Just tell it when:

Run this every Monday at 7am.

Step 6. Let them pass work around

Bots can message each other, so tell each one who gets its work. Use the other bot’s name, like “Send your report to my Content Planner.”

You can also put a few bots in one group chat and watch them hand stuff off. It’s kind of fun to watch.

Step 7. Add the next one

Get one bot working before you build the next. Every new bot gets one job, the same rulebook and only the apps it needs.

If you make content, here’s the order I’d go in:

  1. Trend Researcher
  2. Content Planner
  3. Revenue Lead
  4. Brand Manager
  5. Chief of Staff

Starter prompts

Paste one into Dr. Eggbot and fill in the brackets. Then paste your rulebook at the end.

Trend Researcher

Build me a Trend Researcher.
Its one job: every Monday morning, find what's working on Instagram for [your niche] and write me a trend report.
Every trend in the report links to its source. The report also breaks down what [2 or 3 accounts like mine] are doing and gives me new hook ideas of my own.
It checks every idea to make sure it's original and doesn't copy anyone.
It sends the report to my Content Planner and my Revenue Lead.
It never writes posts and never posts anything.
Follow my rulebook: [paste your rulebook]

Content Planner

Build me a Content Planner.
Its one job: plan my Instagram. It takes the Trend Researcher's Monday report and turns those trends into post ideas. Then it builds my calendar for the week and writes a ready-to-film shot list and caption for each post.
It sends the plan to my Brand Manager to check.
It never posts anything. I post everything myself.
Follow my rulebook: [paste your rulebook]

Revenue Lead

Build me a Revenue Lead.
Its one job: help me make money from my Instagram audience.
First, it checks every path from my Instagram to a sale and tells me what's broken. Then it drafts a 30-day money plan.
For each post, it picks a comment keyword and plans the ManyChat flow: the first DM, what it asks, and where the link goes.
Every week, it sends me a scoreboard of how it's going.
It never changes my prices and never sends DMs itself.
Follow my rulebook: [paste your rulebook]

Brand Manager

Build me a Brand Manager.
Its one job: be the brand gate for my Instagram team. It keeps my brand file. It checks every plan, caption and offer my other bots make before it gets to me. It checks for my voice, for facts that are true, and for ideas that are original. Then it sends back "good to go" or a short list of fixes.
It never posts anything.
Follow my rulebook: [paste your rulebook]

Chief of Staff

Build me a Chief of Staff.
Connect it to my inboxes, calendars and Slack.
Its one job: keep me on top of every business I run.
Every weekday morning, it sends me one brief across all my inboxes and calendars. It tells me what's urgent and drafts replies for me.
The rest of the day, it only pings me when I'm actually needed.
Nothing goes out without my approval. It never deletes anything and never accepts meetings on its own.
Follow my rulebook: [paste your rulebook]
